Terms of Service

These terms cover the Ayla website at tryayla.app and the Ayla app for iPhone and iPad. By using either, you agree to what follows.

1. Ayla is practice

Ayla is a tool for practicing interviews. Its scores, cues, playback notes and coaching are automated feedback, and they can be wrong. They're meant to help you prepare, not to judge you. Ayla can't promise you an interview, a job offer or any particular outcome.

Ayla isn't a substitute for professional career advice, and it isn't speech therapy or medical care. It doesn't diagnose or treat anything.

2. Using Ayla

You need to be at least 13 years old to use Ayla. You agree to use it for its intended purpose, and not to break it, abuse it or use it to harm anyone. In particular, don't:

• Try to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service.
• Interfere with, overload or attack the service or its infrastructure.
• Copy, resell or redistribute the app or its content.

3. Your data

Your practice history belongs to you. It syncs through your own private iCloud, so keeping your Apple Account secure is your responsibility. Answer recordings are never synced or kept by Ayla: they're deleted after your session unless you save or share them. If you delete the app or your iCloud data, we can't recover it for you, because we never had a copy. How we handle the limited information we do hold is set out in our Privacy Policy.

4. AI features

Some features, including Coach Ayla, use Apple Intelligence and are available only on devices that support it. Their responses are generated automatically and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Use your own judgment.

5. Subscriptions and payment

Practicing interviews in Ayla requires a subscription. Ayla offers weekly and annual subscriptions, sold through the Apple App Store and billed to your Apple Account.

• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
• You cancel through your Apple Account settings, not through us. We can't cancel a subscription for you.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies. We can't issue one directly.
• We may change prices. A change never applies to a period you've already paid for, and we'll give notice before it takes effect.

6. Availability

We aim to keep Ayla running, but we don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or discontinue features.

7. Our intellectual property

The Ayla name, logo, artwork, interviewers, questions, copy and software belong to MDApps, LLC. These terms don't transfer any of them to you. What you say and write in the app stays yours.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

Ayla is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including loss of data, loss of profits or the outcome of any interview, arising from your use of Ayla. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before it arose. Some jurisdictions don't allow these exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

10. Ending your use

You can stop using Ayla at any time by canceling your subscription and deleting the app. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken in a way that harms the service or other people.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and for significant changes we'll give notice in the app. Continuing to use Ayla after a change means you accept it.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you and MDApps, LLC each consent to their jurisdiction.
